Dude, you are missing the point. We are not saying that the missionary should like BYU or not. Again, his feelings, as they relate to BYU, ARE NOT THE POINT. He can detest BYU and not care for it, much the same that you don't care about Ricks.

The point is, he should not have said it, unsolicited, during ANY sacrement meeting, let alone PROVO! It isn't an appropriate platform to share such things. Had you been called to serve in Rexburg, Idaho (that's where BYU-Idaho is, formerly known as Ricks College, fyi) would you have stood up and said that you could care less about Ricks College to a congregation of Ricks alumi and current BYU-I supporters?! Would you?! Give it some thought.
