He didn't say or at all imply that "I hate Brigham Young University--you know, that crazy Mormon school that was founded by one of our Prophets!"

I just said he never really liked it. He isn't questioning its existence or leadership.

Maybe he is speaking athletically, maybe as a place to attend college. I have no problem with someone saying either of those things.

Would I be offended if he said he hates the school and it is stupid or some other crazy thing. Sure.

But he didn't say that at all.

And when you claim that he is immature for making the comments, you don't cast the same blame on members who "lose respect" for him, just because he says he doesn't like their school.

So, there is nothing wrong with the members treating him immaturely.

Maybe it was a poor choice of words, but man, people are overreacting.
