This was very interesting to read. Although I'm a graduate of BYU there is no
way I would have got in under all these requirements. This brings me to a question. Are scholarship athletes, especially football players under the same rules and regulations. Do they have to go through all these interviews, letter writing, recommendation letters, GPA requirements that the average kid does? Do they have to do all these in depth essays of their lives, etc. If so, no wonder we aren't getting the athletes to compete. If they don't have to then there seems to be a double standard going on.

I don't think it is even this hard to get into a service academy.
