BYU is only going to get tougher and tougher to get into. Kids need to have 2 back-up plans now.
Great kids with great credentials get left out every year now because the number of applicants keeps going up, and the number of kids who get in doesn't. So some great kids get denied.
I have been lucky to have been 2 for 2 with my girls so far, but I admit I am more worried about my boys getting in, as it will be 6 years before the next applies, and by then I expect it to be crazy competitive. So I will have a back up plan or 2 for them in place based on what they want to study.
Unless BYU expands, and I doubt it will, it is only gonna get tougher.

I sincerely hope they don't start using the essays and recommendations as the primary factor in admissions.
