My wife is in her 4th year teaching and I used to have similar opinions.

My eyes have been opened to a few things. My wife goes to work at 7 and gets home at 5. She spends an average of 10 hrs a week at home doing school stuff. The worst part by far is dealing with parents.

I would rather prepare 200 tax returns than spend 1 day in my wife's classroom of 26 first graders. I would prefer to do 500 tax returns than 1 day of parent teacher conferences. Of course, I would be fired after just 1 day.
