I think I've been consistent in my statements on the issue
1. Teaching is a noble profession.
2. Good teachers are underpaid.
3. People tend to overstate the difference between compensation and hours required for teaching relative to other professions.
As to job shadowing, I never claimed that I am either overworked or underpaid in my job. But the barrier to entry is high and the skills to succeed are not so common so the compensation is good.
You're still welcome to tag along some time though. I'm still at home and in sweats at 4:00. I did go out for lunch, and I crammed in a walk around the block between CB posts.

I didn't say that first part very well. Bottom line is I don't have a problem with saying teachers should be paid more
