Except that it's pretty documented that "women's work" is underpaid as a
profession. And so teaching in the United States is underpaid compared to other countries where it's actually one of the highest paying jobs. Why does lower paying fly in the United States? Because many argue that mothers are limited in the kinds of jobs they can have, so they turn to education because it works for their schedule, and they consequently accept being underpaid. It doesn't change the fact that they are, in fact, underpaid.

I'm not even much into feminist rhetoric, but this makes pretty good sense. In any case, whether it's because it's primarily a female career or not, there's no doubt that education is underpaid in America compared to many other countries. So pure capitalism isn't really always good at establishing wages.
