Before Kalani got there in 2014, Oregon State game up 406.3 yards per game, which was 74th in the country.  Sitake takes over and the next year, they are giving up an average of 481.5 ypg which is good for 115th.

For comparison, if Kalani had improved the Defense but 75.2 yards per game instead of worsening it by that much, the Beavers would have had the #15 defense in the country that year.

So in answer, yes, I am laying a significant portion of the blame for a historically terrible defense on the defensive coordinator.  Shocking, I know.
