I know I won't dissuade you...
But IF
1) We didn't have a historically bad year with injuries (22 on the 2-deep affected) AND
2) We didn't go through 4 QB's, relying on a 3rd and 4th stringer with no game experience (Mangum - injury, Hoge - injury, Detmer, Critch) AND
3) We didn't have such a young team in 2017...
Yeah, yeah. Next man up. Coaches have to adjust. Coaches coach, players play. Whatever.
The above reasons were why we were 4-8. As for the lack of discipline, that had more to do with a lack of senior leadership than coaching. When there is no one in the huddle that gives you *that* look, it doesn't matter.
Subtract any 1 of these 3 and we aren't going 4-8, but are going bowling.
