As for morale(better?)... I sat on the sidelines. I interacted with the players. I know how frustrating it was for the guys that did care.
With a roster of 125+ players the head coach doesn't babysit. That job falls on the position coaches. They are the coaches that interact with the players 24/7... and especially during games.
Kalani is just a CEO. If the mirror falls off your Tesla you can blame Elon Musk all you want. But the actual fault is on the guy who installed the mirror and the supervisors watching him.
All the CEO can do is get better managers in place before he gets fired himself.
