& we've seen Kalani implement things to change the course/direction of the team
...unfortunately it required some tough decisions but that's part of the job isn't it? He had to let go a bunch of his "buddies" when he demoted Ty as OC.

Creating a culture for a team as large as a football team (105+ players plus 20+ coaches). It takes a monster effort to get that many people from such diverse backgrounds and stages in life to be all on the same page, bought in to what your implementing and acting in one accord. Then once you get them pointed in the direction you want it's not an easy thing to maintain over time.

Look at the culture of the team that existed under Bronco during his 11 yrs. The culture he instituted when he began as HC was not the same culture that was evident when he left the team. The discipline of the players was different, the reputation of the team was different (nut punch, Miami Beach Brawl, Dirtiest team in America, locker room divides, rampant Honor Code issues, etc).

Kalani has learned a hard lesson in surviving last season. He's implemented major changes in the off-season to try to ensure that what went on last year doesn't continue. I think he's begun to surround himself with the kind of people he needs to create the culture we need to be successful. I guess we'll see how things play out this fall.
