Cant belive I'm agreeing with a Ute, but this is true
I saw it when I was at BYU, and TAed for a prof who had to basically spell out the answers to a test... for a prominence WR. Said WR was failing, repeatedly this test and class.

Honestly, if you cant stay in school due to academics then you are actively trying to leave. Academics aren't the issue at NCAA sports. D+ grades will keep you compliant. The fact that over half of NCAA football players dont graduate shows that. As soon as the sport is done, then so is the interest in keeping the illusion of 'getting an education'.
