BYU Admissions is not connected to BYU Athletics. All players (5* to PWO) have to clear BYU Admissions.

Coaches will pre-judge recruits to see if they are a good fit...
Then they will work with admissions to verify they qualify...
Then they will get an offer...

Even with an offer and a signed LOI kids are not guaranteed to get past admissions (this happened with somebody from last years recruiting class)

The number of players over the past 5 years that have passed admissions, enrolled, then flunked out has made it HARDER over the past 2 years to get kids past Admissions.

People that think they know about specific players don't have any of the actual facts.

The entire 'Non-Qualifier' argument is bogus. Kalani and Holme will fight for one or two kids every recruiting class, some get admitted and some don't.

The fact is still the same... It's difficult to get kids past BYU Admissions.
