With 3 ballroom dance national championships, school leadership, international piano (played at a concert in Japan), had his own piano studio with 25 students, and had a film production company...9 AP classes (passed all tests) and was also denied a year ago! He is now on his mission speaking Russian...so we’ll apply again to BYU again in the fall. We really struggled (and still do) and are now more seriously looking elsewhere. You get three bites at the Apple. High school, transfer student with a few credits elsewhere and post mission. Try again and I’m sure he’ll get it. What BYU is doing is beyond reason—- and they won’t tell you why either! We met with admissions last March and it was really disappointing: the Counselor said: I have numerous discussions with kids who look just like you (accomplished white male) who received rejection letters. So, your son will thrive at BYU at some
Point in the future or somewhere else. Good luck. Life does indeed go on.
