You said he should go to Chicago.
That’s what Gustav and I are disputing. Not that it’s a better school. I’m as big an academic snob as anyone.
If I were Hoss I’d send my kid to U of U before Chicago (assuming in state tuition or scholarship). Probably USU too for that matter.
If money isn’t an issue then Chicago is a great option.
The only exception is if he wants to do something like academia or work in PE or on Wall Street. But if he wants to go into law or medicine or most other professions, I don’t think spending a lot of money on undergrad is a good idea unless you are wealthy enough that $150k doesn’t matter.
