BYU v Utah by position group
Here is who I think has the edge at each position group.
Offense:
QB: BYU (Wilson over either of theirs)
RB: Utah
OL: BYU
WR: Tie
Slot: Utah (Covey)
TE: BYU (Bushman one of the best in the country)
Defense:
DL: Utah
Linebacker: Tie (would say BYU but a little worried about depth)
Corner: Utah
Safety: Tie
Special Teams:
Kicking: BYU (they’ve got issues)
Punting: Utah
KR/PR: Utah (Covey)
I feel somewhat optimistic. If we can limit mistakes on offense and take away their running game, I think we’ve got a good chance.
The other big X factor is coaching. I think it matters a lot in college, and this season will be telling for Kalani.
