I think the key here is what can the health care system handle.
The absolute numbers are just tiny. but if our health care gets swamped, the deaths should go up at a higher clip and who could live with that?
What politician would accept that chance if they want to get reelected? Better to play along with the media hype and shutter everything down. and then say, its low because we shut down.
