What about the kids though?
I am not so cavalier about this kind of stuff, these are kids lives we are talking about here. These coaches have made promises, if you've gone through the recruiting process with your son you've had promises made to you and your son. If they truly gave out too many scholarships on purpose to make "a deeper roster" knowing it would screw some kids down the line then that is not the behavior I want to see from BYU. They claim to be different, that's a big part of their recruiting pitch, they claim to represent a higher standard.
