We'll start by not pretending it's a recent thing. It's a BYU thing.
Are there years where it's gone overboard a bit? Yes. A few times in the last decade.
I don't know how anyone could pinpoint the starting point of it all. They had big issues back in 2012-13. Bronco's guys created more issues the year Sitake was hired so it set them back. They had issues last year and this year it's hit big again like 2012.
It's not about the who. It's how do you manage it. I said manage, not fix, because I don't think it can be fixed in a reasonable way.
