Everywhere I’ve been, alumni of a school, and residents nearby, always have
the perception that their school is top notch in education quality—even when many outside of the area would have never known anything about the school beyond its athletic programs. This tells me that many schools excel in one thing or another giving this perception when in reality that is likely just ‘average’.
Alumni of and Members of TCOJCOLDS probably do this with BYU. But what is uniques to BYU is the COST to attend—making ‘best bang for your buck’ one if BYU’s legitimate recruiting points and draws for members. Likely get one of the best quality of education for that price point. But if you discard the cost, the quality of education is probably average (meaning some departments are top notch and others are below average).
