Yes you might be able to get away with private conversations on these topics with selected students and other faculty. But good luck teaching anything against accepted orthodoxy in class that is in the wrong direction (i.e. more traditional viewpoints). Most professors lean heavily left and also like their jobs so you won't see anyone doing this. At most, you'll see professors advocating for free speech but even that can be risky as the Yale example shows.
