I didn't go to BYU's law school, but I do remember talking to a college that
went to a prestigious law school. He told about how the Civil Procedure professor didn't feel like teaching Civil Procedure and instead turned the class into "Advocacy for the Homeless." And that wasn't nearly an isolated kind of experience for him in law school. I have heard a number of stories over the years about similar things happening at prestigious schools in various disciplines.
