Jarom says the 2020 season proves his theory on scheduling: Essentially

That BYU will make more noise doing really well against a lesser schedule than with a middling record against better teams. If we were in a conference that might be different but given the sandbox BYU inhabits I tend to think he's more right than wrong.

2020 was an outlier, and BYU only got that credit because P5s wouldn't play them. In other years, that isn't the case.
