I was asked to do a field sobriety test while driving sober.
I was driving somewhere I hadn't been in a long time, so I didn't know the changes in speed limit as well as I used to, and I forgot to pay attention to the changes in speed limit. So I sped on accident. I saw the lights behind me, and I immediately pulled over to let the cop around me. She pulled in behind me and called over the intercom to pull into a parking lot. We were dressed up from a wedding reception. She asked me why I pulled over so suddenly. I told her I wanted her to be able to get around me, that's what you do when there are emergency lights behind you. She asked why we were dressed up, and asked if I had anything to drink at the reception. I said no. She asked me to do field sobriety tests. I passed. She then looked for other reasons to ticket me, like scrutinizing my son's child seat. In the end, after a half hour stop, she decided she couldn't ticket me for anything and let me go.
