anti-drunk driving technology in all cars by a certain date? I'm not a fan of government overreach, but this is no-brainer legislation in my mind. A drunk driver behind a wheel is an accident waiting to happen, often with tragic consequences for innocent victims. I've been hit by a drunk driver and know how potentially devastating that irresponsible action can be. Drunk people make the choice to drive precisely when they are in the worst possible condition to make a rational decision. That's why — in a day and age when technology can assist — I applaud a government mandate to install such technology. Hopefully, it's effective.
As for Mark, it's hard to judge him not knowing more details, but I hope he uses the experience to advocate for responsible drinking and to advocate against drunk driving.
