I would disagree with your last statements.

The offense is more negatively impacted than the defense when it has to sit on the sidelines watching a 'bend but don't break' approach.

Offense relies more on rhythm and flow with our scheme.

This defense is designed to give them short yardage on every play. 'Bend but don't break.' And they are breaking more than they should because they aren't getting enough 3 and outs.
