That doesn’t mean that I don’t get annoyed with our fans that are so blue-goggled that they tie themselves in knots and seem to have breakdowns when their unreasonable expectations aren’t met. One of those, perhaps in my mind only, is the idea that Utah is not a good expansion candidate for the Big12. I just don’t think it’s true when viewed though an unbiased lens. They seem to check the box in every reasonable way. Our primary objections, that they are jerks, can’t be trusted, and they ditched us to go to the PAC, just don’t seem like they would be compelling reasons to less biased party.
I hope I’m wrong. Truly. I can’t stand Utah. But I feel that I’ll handle things better, a possible B12 invitation, if I’m as honest with myself as I can be and try to view the issue from their standpoint.
