Similar to my experience.

Could dunk fairly easily before the mission and wasn't close when returning home. I eventually got well beyond what I could do in HS after starting to play again and hitting the weights but it took a while to get there.

Surprisingly my mission ended 20 years ago and I can still jump higher than I could as a new RM.
