What we can do is compare an RM’s four years and see if the year right after the mission is an outlier. And for almost every player I’ve looked at, the year right after the mission was just like the others.

But if you can name one player who was good as a freshman, served a mission, and was mediocre after… well… you’d be the first person on this thread to name someone!
