and in the one actual quote of Reynolds in that article he says that he already knew that Anae was leaving, which indicates to me that Bronco asking all the coaches to re-apply was not necessarily directed at Anae. When Anae came back I was surprised because I had bought into the narrative that Bronco had asked him to resign. It seemed unlikely that Anae would have come back under those circumstances. Then with his quotes this spring about it being his choice to leave and Bronco asking him to stay I realized that we probably had the story - or at least the implications of the story largely wrong.

One thing I can believe though - I'll bet that the coaches meeting where Bronco said that was a pretty intense argument.
