It's the nature of rivalries for the two teams to dislike each other. The BYU-Utah rivalry isn't unique in that way. Rivalries are part of what makes college football great. So why end it? Yahtzee said it perfectly. I'm sure you're glad BYU didn't take its basketball and go home. That fact you can't see it was pretty much a chicken move to back out of the game is telling.
