But your wording doesn't mention anything about "recent"
So it likely is read as "all time"...
Those links provided showed Utah with 25, BYU with 10 and USU with 9.
This doesn't even include anyone who is currently listed on a roster but has never played in a game. It doesn't include draft picks like Robbie Bosco or Luke Staley, etc as they never suited up in the regular season. It doesn't even include a Harvey Unga who has collected checks but never been on active rosters for games. It doesn't include KVN as he hasn't been in a regular season game yet either. So it isn't like this is some fan site padding stats one way or another.
Those numbers were players from each school on NFL rosters for actual regular season games through the end of last season.
The ESPN site which is trying to keep up with active roster slots through out the pre-season does show Utah with 27, BYU with 9 and Utah St with 13.

But again 2-3 days ago BYU's list would have had Hoffman & Unga...these lists on the ESPN page are not final yet.
So either way 4x is still a bit high - 3x can be justified if you are stating on current pre-season rosters today....
But at any rate as things will go up and down over time it still comes out to them both being pretty even historically and I suspect that another "active" up for BYU may start to come in over the next few years.
