but there are only 20 plus or minus scholarships a year so you don't take a kid who has a high chance of never seeing the field. In the mission field there are not limits on how many people can go so if there is some question but the kid can pass the interviews - he can go and we hope he catches the spirit. It's not like he is preventing some other kid from going on a mission by taking an available spot at the MTC. Not only that but it is better for the kid too. It does not look good to get kicked off a team, so Bronco is doing Gustin a favor by not offering him if he thinks he can't cut it at BYU.
