The problem is...
You and anyone saying this have never provided an example - or the examples they provide require a gigantic dose of stupidity to even pretend any arrogance is involved.
But here is a tried and true truth - insisting that something is true - then not providing any examples because people should just take your word for it - equals arrogance on your part.
In my job I actually am an expert in what I do. One of less than 700 people in the whole world that does what I do. When I venture an opinion - even though I am an expert in the field - I still provide the backing evidence to support my opinion. That is just common sense.
