Absolutely false
This is bizarre. Where on earth do you guys get this stuff from? I am a direct member of his family who got on to Cougarboard for the first time yesterday. And as I am scrolling through this stuff I honestly don't know whether to laugh or cry? The inaccuracies, innuendoes and incomplete information are crazy! So let me clear this up once and for all, although after seeing just one day of posts I am flabbergasted about how many more untruths are going unchecked out there.

But for the record, there was absolutely no conditions given to Porter to "receive an offer". No scandal. No nefarious little secrets. BYU did not want to offer him a scholarship. So what? That is their right. Why does their have to be some scandal attached. Yes, Porter wanted to come their initially but when they said they did not have any LB scholarships that was the end of it. He moved on quickly and that was the end of it. I am a BYU graduate as are many other family members and we love BYU and want nothing for the best for them. Honestly there are no hard feelings.

He it taking his visit to OHIO STATE tomorrow and then will make his announcement Tuesday at 11:00 am. Then this is over. Please everyone, let it go. Both BYU and Porter Gustin deserve respect and don't need to be slandered anymore. Shouldn't there be charity at some point? Come on. Porter has no ill feelings for BYU and they have no ill feelings for him. I know this because they showed up at SHHS on Wednesday morning to apologize, in person, and to wish him luck and that they were sorry they dropped the ball on him. Why can't you just let it be now? Please. Move on.
