In 2008... 1st week of Novermber Utah was ranked 10th...
In 2006, 1st week of November, BYU saw the top 25 for the first time ranked 22nd. I get that Utah had some close wins, the Oregon State win was total bull crap and OSU got jobbed BIG TIME by the officials at the end. But Utah's 2008 season would be similar in everyway to BYU's 1996 season.
Against ranked teams:
(BYU 3-1) BYU beat 2 top 15 teams (13A&M and 14KSU) and 1 top 25 team (20 Wyo) in 1996.
(BYU 1-1) BYU beat 1 top 20 team (17 TCU) in 2006
(Utah 3-0) Utah beat 1 top 5 team (4 Bama), 1 top 15 team (14 TCU) and 1 top 20 team (16 BYU) in 2008.
Against ranked teams:
