The better team makes the plays necessary to win
sure there is luck here and there, but when there are multipile points within a season where a team repeatedly made the plays necessary to win (Utah 2008) vs a team who didnt (BYU 2006) it means something. Its not just "oh this team made a fg/missed a fg" its the plays leading up to that point, and especially after that point that make a good team a great team
