Utah was considerably better. You can spin every game as "close" or "we should have won" etc etc. We didn't and losing several more games and having the lack of a true quality win (we beat TCU and that is it) is a tough argument to make.

Was this past years BYU close to 2006. This year we "should" have won all the games but Boise State. IF TH was not hurt we would have won the USU game. If BM took over as DC early in the season the defense would have been better. We basically were 12-1 and that is better than the 2006 record. So we were better or close to the 2006 team. Sounds like a bunch of excuses......I don't thrive on making up victories. Either we won or we did not, both sides can have excuses. Just because we are not Utah fans do not marginalize a good year because you believe we "were close".
