It's not a coin flip, but "being good" only gets you so far. You need luck to
fall your way a little to have an undefeated season. That's all I'm saying. In the case of BYU 2006, luck didn't fall our way in two games. In the case of Utah 2008, luck DID fall their way in a couple of games. If the luck was reversed Utah would have been 11-2 and BYU would have been 13-0. They are very comparable teams as far as how "good" they were, but the results discrepancy is due to luck, IMO.
