100% agree with your post and appreciate your background etc. Many of us that are not mormon also do not drink as a choice when we become a little older and smarter. so as a whole anyone can understand your frustration at those events and the tedium that comes with hanging around drunks.
I agree that it's helped many recieve promotions etc. But what I was referring to is the perception unfairly I believe heaped on some LDS collegues is their non-desire to attend events or socials even when alcohol is not being consumed. Does that make sense? I understand the bar events but the others is where I really believe that perception becomes the reality for BYU in many peoples minds.
