We are cool. There are after work things that I feel are necessary, those that might be useful, and those that are worth
less. I say go to the necessary, go to the best of the useful. Your first few months at a new gig, go to more than that. When you need a favor on a tight deadline, it's nice to have a relationship to lean on.
But there's a point of diminishing returns and there's a point where time away from my family is not worth it. I probably also even choose my industry with an understanding that I don't want to work where I need to hang out after work multiple times a week.
