It's stupid of you to think that I don't foster relationships with coworkers. But if I am going to take time away from

my children to go out to a bar or whatever, I will admit that I probably won't go to hang out with a handful of employees who have no ability to help me professionally. I can foster those relationships at work or over lunch or otherwise.

I think you also assume a lot more than you know about my ability to get along or bldnd into a culture.
