and living on the land? You appear to be no better than some fruity Sierra Club member trying to designate all of our land primitive wilderness. Our public lands are a public good and should be accessible to all. The Sierra Club wants them severely restricted. (No recreation activities you can't buy at REI.) You seem to want them in private hands. Those are both undesirable outcomes.
I don't want them sold. I want them managed for public uses. For all the public. I think small high value mineral swaths could be sold for extractive industries, but the scope should be limited; there's no reason to sell off 100,000 acres to some mining company when they need 10,000 for the mine.
