A lot of Utes are apparently confused about what the word "middling" means.
First, it's predictable that Ute fans spend their time on the BYU board, since their main board has no interest, and mostly just talks about BYU, hating the Mormon Church, and cougarboard anyway...
Second, Look up the word "middling" so you can address your obvious confusion.
No one is saying that you have a bad team...
Just that your program hasn't achieved as much success as when you were in the MWC, and ranked in to top 10, and would go to the Fiesta and Sugar Bowls. You are a "middling" PAC12 team, that can expect regular Las Vegas Bowls and Sun Bowls, and going to the NCAA tournament 2 times out of 7 years. Do you disagree with this? This is reality so far.
No one faults Utah for being unable to compete with USC, UCLA, Oregon, Stanford, etc. Those schools have huge advantages...

How can you say this? Utah basketball has been a legit program in the PAC- football their mid level but get a pay check

I get the envy. I have it. But I’d take Utah’s success in the PAC since they’ve joined. Fans seem to buy in as well
