Look at the last several years, that shows you what the P12 has done once
the U could build on the conference. Ranked in football 3 of 4 years, NCAA tournament 2 of 3 years. Tons of NFL draft picks and 3 NBA first round picks. #2 in hoops in the conference a couple of times. If you’re point is that Utah isn’t USC or UCLA or UW obviously that’s true. The problem is that you said that that means Utah would be better off being the best team in a conference with New Mexico, SDSU, etc., and that is just an absurd proposition in every level.

How can you say this? Utah basketball has been a legit program in the PAC- football their mid level but get a pay check

I get the envy. I have it. But I’d take Utah’s success in the PAC since they’ve joined. Fans seem to buy in as well
