able to build and renovate a ton of their campus with the influx of money. They are being paid 3-8 times more than G5 teams every single year. They play USC, UCLA, Stanford, Washington and Oregon each year in all sports. Media automatically takes them seriously when they are having success and they get ranked when they look to have a good team because of that exposure vs just getting votes like we both had to put up with for years.

They’re competitive in a short 6 or 7 years...who knows how many titles they’ll win but it is inevitable that they will at some point.

THEY can be just about every stinking P5 team out there not just Utah by the way.

Our uniqueness provides some opportunities to have a special season here and there but they are becoming few and far between...have vs have nots. Recruits will choose and continue to choose the P5 group over and over and we will rarely ever fall to us...we’ll pull a special kid occasionally but rarely enough depth to consistently compete year in and year out.

Depth has become a huge issue, lack of coaching candidates has become an issue, money is a major problem, lack of conference or group affiliation doesn’t provide any support and leaves us out on an island.

We need a major climate shift, a realignment or maybe just a miracle in our athletic department. Until then it’s going to continue to get harder and harder to compete at the level we all grew up with and now dream of.
