On the mission we had 2 BYU football players, 1 who was very highly recruited
We'd play hoops on p-day and skill was lacking in one of the guys who was like 6'6 and probably over 300 but he was surprisingly nimble. The other......well he was a bit smaller but later played about 285 for BYU, and he was skilled AND really athletic, even for a big man. I hadn't played against any sort of D1 athlete in high school so the first time I saw this guy playing hoops it just shocked me how athletic and quick he was. (he turned out to be a very good player for BYU and was drafted and stuck in the NFL for awhile, but never a star)
Sometimes as fans we look at a guy on tv and think they are slow, and then you see them against average Joes and it is pretty surprising.
