I have a similar story...
When I was in law school we had an intramural basketball team - we also had a flag football team that was very good - back to back championships (co-ed - must have been the age difference...who knew!). Anyway, our basketball team was pretty good, we were all decent athletes and most of us had played some high school bball - we ended up playing against the UNLV football team. I would have thought they wouldn't be allowed to play, but they had a basketball team...Ryan Wolfe was on the team...he was actually a legit receiver by NCAA standards and an exceptional athlete.

We kept pace with them for awhile. If I remember right, the score at half was 28-30 for them. We ended up losing something like 80-40. As we wore down in the second half they didn't. They were running by us like we were standing still. Ryan probably finished with 20 points just from dunks.

Side note - a friend of mine from law school who attended UCLA for undergrad (not LDS) came with me to the UCLA game in 2008. As you can imagine, he left that game very sad. But he bought a BYU sweatshirt - he was wearing his BYU sweatshirt during flag football intramurals when Ryan Wolfe walked by and said something like "Hey...you're at UNLV...why don't you buy a real sweatshirt and throw that one in the trash" - something like that. My buddy responded "If you can get 100 yards receiving against BYU year I'll buy your 'freaking' jersey."

I don't remember the exact stats but I think Wolfe had 150 yards and about 10 catches against BYU that year. Needless to say, my buddy didn't buy his jersey.
