Sure, he was technically still in highschool, so you can pooh-pooh this, but he was already a beast. And he was playing Running Back then, because if you have a dude that big and that fast, you're going to give him the ball as much as possible. He had set the AZ state record that year with 367 yards in a single game. I was a receiver and special teamer, so my only contact with him (thankfully) was on a kickoff. I went in fast, and thigh-high.... maybe a little lower I just remember thinking the physics weren't going to work out.
If memory serves he went on to average something under 200 yards per game. Dominant.
But we held him to very few... he actually had negative yards at halftime. ;D
