I'd say no.
I'd say the same about choosing to play a sport at a more prestigious school. BYU isn't THE BEST school, there are better schools and better sports programs. We are well above average, but we shouldn't get mad at students who have the opportunity to play for schools with a clearly superior athletic program. Especially when that player has such a high likelyhood of turning pro.
It's like a boss getting mad at you because he couldn't pay you what the competition wants to pay you. He can be upset, but if he takes it personal than he's being a child. (we aren't even the bosses in this situation, we are the consumer)
